Day 1

Arrive in Sudbury today. Once you’re checked into your accommodation of choice, venture to Onaping (Hwy 144 North) to visit the A.Y Jackson Lookout. Enjoy the scenic view of cascading High Falls that once captured the imagination of the Group of Seven painter. Once back in the city, take a walk along the Bell Park Boardwalk & Jim Gordon Walkway on Ramsey Lake. Just before sunset, head for Dynamic Earth to watch the last rays of sun reflected on the Big Nickel as it sets for another day.

Day 2

Venture to Manitoulin Island today (Hwy 17 West to Hwy 6 South), the World’s Largest Freshwater Island. Once you’re there, head to Kagawong to Bridal Veil Falls, a picturesque cascading falls named for its “veil” like appearance. Enjoy a picnic, take a dip behind the falls, or follow the trails to the Bay. If you’re traveling with your bike, be sure to check out Manitoulin’s backroads. With little traffic, and great views whichever way you turn, the Island is a cyclist’s dream come true.

Day 3

Depending on where you reside, you may want to board the Chi-Cheemaun ferry to start your excursion home today. The largest passenger/car vessel on the Great Lakes, the Chi-Cheemaun transports riders between South Baymouth and Tobermory in just under 2 hours. (Reservations are recommended – be sure to arrive early to ensure a spot for your desired sailing).
