Day 2
Take a daytrip to Tobermory today, to explore two unique beaches, one rocky with spectacular cliffs on Georgian Bay, and one sandy right across the road on Lake Huron. Arrive at Bruce Peninsula National Park (day use fees apply), park at the head of trails and hike the Georgian Bay Trail to Indian Head Cove. Here you’ll find a boulder beach perfect for exploring and hiking (approximately 3 km). When you’re finished discovering this dramatic shoreline with it cool clear waters, head back to your car, and across the road (and a small distance to the north) to Singing Sands. In remarkable contrast to the shore of Bruce Peninsula National Park, the shore of Singing Sands is sandy, warm, shallow and calm.
Distance:
Sauble Beach to Tobermory and back (179 km roundtrip (111 miles), 3 hrs)
